Bethel Students Cross Cultures by Going into Prison

Students from Bethel College in Newton have collaborated with inmates from Hutchinson Correctional Facility on a theater production based on previously published monologues and dialogues combined with journal entries from the project's participants. The production, first presented at the facility with inmates, will be followed by a student-only version at the college in February.

The exhibit documents the placement and treatment of American juveniles - including those in Kansas - in juvenile detention facilities. The exhibit is on view until April 13.
