Face Masks Required in all KDOC buildings

Consistent with Governor Kelly’s Executive Order #20-52 requiring the use of facemasks in public places, beginning July 3rd, anyone entering KDOC buildings (facilities, parole offices, central office) will be required to wear a mask.
Confirmed COVID-19 Case at Hutchinson Correctional Facility

Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) Secretary Jeff Zmuda announced today that one staff member at Hutchinson Correctional Facility (HCF) tested positive for COVID-19. This is the seventh KDOC facility with a confirmed case, with the first cases reported at Lansing Correctional Facility (LCF), Wichita Work Release Facility, Topeka Correctional Facility, Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex, El Dorado Correctional Facility and Ellsworth Correctional Facility.

Topeka Correctional Facility Staff Member Dies from COVID-19 Complications

Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) Secretary Jeff Zmuda announced today that one staff member at the Topeka Correctional Facility (TCF) died on Saturday, July 25, due to complications from COVID-19. This is the third staff death related to the virus with the first two being at the Lansing Correctional Facility (LCF).
