Overcrowding issues to continue at state correctional facilities

Inmate Deaths Under Investigation

The Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) is investigating whether illegal drugs played a role in four recent inmate deaths at three state correctional facilities. The KDOC also is working to raise awareness among the inmate population of the potential lethal consequences of using illegal drugs introduced into correctional facilities.
